Whispering Pines
is situated on 46 acres of breathtaking wilderness in the Sierra
Nevada Mountains (elevation 4,800 feet).
Our full-service year-round facility is located in Mi Wuk Village about 64 miles east of Modesto and 14 miles east of Sonora.
The center
includes two lodges with sleeping capacity for 86 guests, an adjoining fireside
lounge, large meeting room, and commercial kitchen.
The entire
facility is ADA certified and all of the rooms are carpeted and outfitted with bunks, sinks, toilets, and
wheelchair-accessible showers. It affords some "city comforts" in a rustic
mountain setting.
Whispering Pines is available for rental by
non-disabled and disabled groups of any kind, including families, churches,
businesses, and other organizations.
As you drive to Whispering Pines, you’ll see beautiful countryside, making your way through the rolling foothills and into the rugged Sierra Mountains. You’ll enjoy a scenic ride and breathe fresh mountain air as you break away from the city into the woods.

How We Serve our Mountain Community:
Our 46-acres site is approved as a MediFlite emergency landing zone for
Tuolumne County and an evacuation incident command post for the County's fire
service agencies. |
